Places are always a part of the story. Places can star in their own stories whether humans are in the cast or not. In the southern tip of the Appalachian Mountains we have lots of interesting places where the location and the people are both special. Here are a few of them.

The Appalachian Trail, the Byron Herbert Reece Farm, The Union County Historical Courthouse & Mountain Life Museum, Nottely Lake, Brasstown Bald Mountain, Sea-Creek Falls, and Downtown Blairsville are all places that come to mind when thinking of interesting and fun places in Northeast Georgia.
Favorite places can be remote wilderness areas or bustling city streets. Places have their own unique character and atmosphere. Sometimes I like to be where it is peaceful and quiet. Other times I prefer loud music and excitement with some dancing and good food. Do you have a favorite place where you feel welcome? Send me an email if you do.
