October 26, 2007 - Shred Box opens for business in Blairsville, Georgia
Shred Box recently celebrated their opening with a Blairsville Union County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. Shred Box provides a unique document destruction service to the people in Union County and surrounding areas.
Owner Joe Rybicki says, "We are offering a service that is extremely cost effective. Shred Box brings a big truck with an industrial shredder right to our customer's door. Serving small and medium sized businesses, we help doctors, lawyers, medical clinics, real estate offices, insurance companies, and other businesses comply with privacy laws. Shred Box can visit offices on a regular schedule or at the end of the year when many paper files are being purged."
Shred Box places a locked collection bin on site and schedules weekly or monthly visits for shredding. They destroy confidential documents and provide complete documentation of the process. Shred box can easily shred 100 pounds of paper documents in 15 minutes. Businesses benefit by saving time and increasing productivity since office workers don't have to spend longs hours shredding documents by hand.
Shred Box is based out of Hayesville, North Carolina where Rybicki's wife, Elizabeth, owns Phillips and Lloyd Book Shop. Joe and Elizabeth have been in the area for 10 years. Before starting up Shred Box, Rybicki was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and then later a corporate pilot. He adds, "I got tired of flying off and wanted to stay around home more. Shred Box is my retirement job." Welcome to Blairsville, Georgia!
