Rebecca Collins at Book Nook in Blairsville, Georgia

October 16, 2010 - Book Nook hosts book signing for Rebecca Collins

The Book Nook at 115 Cleveland Street in Blairsville, Georgia recently hosted a book signing for Rebecca Collins. Guests enjoyed refreshments, fellowship, and conversation with the author.

Rebecca Collin’s new book is titled Dairy of a Mad Caregiver. It is full of encouragement for caregivers. Rebecca says, “Family care giving has been a large part of my life since childhood. I learned firsthand to have great respect for life and for the aged as I watched my middle-aged mother take care of the hourly needs of my sick grandmother, who occupied my bedroom. After her death, I watched again as my mother and daddy lifted and cared for my grandfather and an uncle in our home. I didn’t realize it at the time, but God was preparing my heart to be a caregiver for my father-in-law and later for my dear mother.”

Rebecca Collins, a former sixth grade science teacher and church librarian, loves to encourage others through her writing. She is published in Focus on the Family Clubhouse Magazine, the Cross & Quill newsletter, and has a weekly column entitled “Did You Know?” in the North Georgia News. Rebecca and her husband live on a mini farm in Union County. They have two children and nine grandchildren.
