Neville Smith of Galaxy Bowling in Blairsville, Georgia donates his 15th gallon of blood
Neville Smith donated a unit of blood to Life South on August 17, 2007. This unit of precious fluid made the 15th gallon he has donated since he started giving at age 18.
Smith says, "I have always found it to be very invigorating to give blood. It kicks my body into high gear and makes me feel very good."
Neville Smith would like to encourage in Union County everyone to donate blood. He adds, "I'm O negative and can give to any other blood group. The thing that I love is that they can take one unit of my blood, divide it into four parts and give it to four babies or one person."
Smith noted that the staff at Life South has great technicians and nurses. "They always make everyone feel appreciated." He would like to challenge everyone to match his 15 gallons one unit at a time. "Use either group. Life South or the Red Cross both serve this area. There is an urgent need for all blood types. Please donate, it only takes a few minutes of your time and benefits so many. You can help save a life."
Many thanks go all blood donors. It really is a gift of life. Life South is located at 1200 McEvers Road Extension in Gainesville, Georgia and is a non-profit community blood center. Their comfortable and convenient blood mobile makes regular visits to the Blairsville, Georgia area.
