The Mountain Home Show promotes the Union Countyl building and construction industry. Organizer Richard MacCrea is the man behind the scenes. He does a great job coordinating and promoting the event.

Exhibits include builders, re-modelers, decks, outdoor rooms, pools, spas, decorating ideas, electronics, home security, garden equipment, financing, home furnishings, appliances, landscaping, home plans, products, supplies, services, and utilities. Most of the exhibitors offer free goodies and drawings for more expensive items.

There are also informative and interesting seminars throughout the show. Visitors are invited to learn about such topics as energy efficient homes for the mountains and designing "green" homes for the mountains.

MacCrea says, "We hold this event every spring in Blairsville, Georgia at the beautiful North Georgia Technical College. Planning and organizing this show is a lot of work, but it is definitely worth it. We provide information to help anyone building or remodeling in the mountains."

MacCrea continues, "As energy costs continue to rise, we need to plan and build better. The Mountain Home Show has seminars on important topics of home design and construction. For example, how much more does it cost to build energy efficiently? Our exhibitors are ready to share their knowledge with you. You can learn about new energy efficient ideas, ways to reduce maintenance, and how to make your home safer from lightening and storms."
