October 23, 2010 - 9th Annual North Georgia Motorcycle Show

The 9th Annual North Georgia Motorcycle Show was recently held on the campus of NGTC in Blairsville, Georgia. It was a great turn out with almost a hundred entries.

Show organizer Dennis Bradley and other volunteers were on hand to greet visitors and registrants. Everyone enjoyed talking shop, seeing the different bikes, and voting for their favorites. Bikers and visitors had a good time on the beautiful campus of NGTC where brightly colored fall leaves, lots of chrome, and custom paint jobs sparkled in the sunshine.

Awards were presented to favorites in each class including Modern American, Vintage American, Modern European, Vintage European, Modern Japanese, Vintage Japanese, Competition, Custom, and Special Interest. North Georgia Motorcycle Show Award Winners include the following:

Great weather brought more people to the event than ever before. There was also more participation from local bikers this year. One particular bike in the show was dedicated to Randy King (1962-2010). Randy was well known in the Blairsville area for his love of motorcycles.

October 25, 2008 - Motorcycle Show at NGTC Blairsville, Georgia campus

The 7th Annual North Georgia Motorcycle Show was recently held on the campus of NGTC in Blairsville, Georgia. Awards were presented to favorites in each class including Modern American, Vintage American, Modern European, Vintage European, Modern Japanese, Vintage Japanese, Custom, Competition, and Special Interest.

Motorcycle owners enjoyed showing their rides. Visitors asked questions, voted for their favorites, and learned about various motorcycle manufacturers. Participants took the opportunity to visit with old friends, make new ones, and relax in the sunny fall weather. Food was provided by the Union County Humane Society and free coffee was available to everyone.

Motorcycle Show draws large crowd

Motorcycle Show draws large crowd to Blairsville, Georgia

The Annual Motorcycle Show was a huge success. Beautiful weather brought over 85 entries and hundreds of spectators to the grounds of North Georgia Technical School for a Saturday of fun and excitement.

Event Organizer Dennis Bradley is pleased with the turnout. He says, "More bikers enter every year especially when the weather is this perfect." Bradley has several bikes entered in the show and is pictured with his 1970 Penton Six day 124 cc. He points out where the bike was autographed by designer John Penton. Bradley explains, "John Penton went to Austria and got KTM to manufacture the bike. It's the king of dirt bikes."

Neal Stanton was at the show with his bike, a Triumph Sprint. He says, "If your bike is not your favorite, then you own the wrong bike." T.J. Kaufhold had his bike for sale at the show. He rides a teal and silver 1994 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider and can easily talk all day about motorcycles. Steve McPhee was back this year with his ever popular 1965 Honda C200 (made famous by the Beach Boys). Sheldon Henderson's 1975 Honda CB400 F with a six speed transmission and top speed of 105 mph was an all round favorite.
