November 5, 2007 - Fatz Cafe opens for business in Blairsville, Georgia
Fatz Cafe recently hosted one of the largest ribbon cutting ceremonies of the year. Over 50 people joined with the Blairsville Union County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the grand opening of the newest restaurant in Union County.
Once the ribbon was officially cut, many attendees lined up to be seated for lunch. The first customers got to see what Fatz is all about. Good food, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly people made opening day a pleasure for all.
Fatz Cafe offers a varied menu including appetizers like Southern Spinach Shrimp Dip, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Cheese Fries. Entrees include such delicious fare as world famous Calabash Chicken, Cajun Crusted Ribeye, BBQ Babyback Ribs, Sundown Chicken Pasta, and Edisto Shrimp and Grits. Fatz also offers burgers, sandwiches, signature salads, soups, desserts, and over ten side items. How do you choose when there's grilled veggie skewers, sautéed mushrooms, red-skinned mashed potatoes, cinnamon apples, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli with cheese sauce, and five other sides to try?
General Manager Jim Marchman greets many customers by name as do the servers and other staff members. "Welcome to Fatz where everyone's a regular" is more than an advertising slogan; it's a great way of doing business.
Fatz uses only 100% canola oil for frying and customer satisfaction is always guaranteed. Fatz Cafe strives to accommodate the dietary needs of all guests and special preparation requests are accepted.
